SEMARANG - Police have revealed the identity of a woman suspected of being a murder victim whose body was found in a rice field in Sidamulya Hamlet, Suradadi, Tegal Regency.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, said the victim was identified as Kasni (59), a resident of Jayimulya Village, Tegal Regency.

"After the autopsy, the victim was immediately handed over to his family for burial," he said in Semarang, Antara, Friday, March 4.

Currently, he continued, the Tegal Police are still investigating the alleged murder case.

Previously, it was reported that the body of an unidentified woman was found in a rice field in Duaun Sidamulya, Suradadi, Tegal Regency.

Iqbal said that the scene of the incident involved sniffer dogs looking for clues around the location.

According to him, the results of the examination revealed that the perpetrators cut several parts of the victim's body.

He explained that this was known from two points in the location suspected to be the location of the murder and the place where the perpetrator cut the victim's body.

According to him, from the examination, it was also known that there were wounds on a number of parts of the victim's body, including a wound in the neck, which is thought to be the cause of death.
