Bandarlampung City Government Provides Free Antigen Test For Cinema Visitors

BANDARLAMPUNG - Bandarlampung City Government, provides a free rapid antigen test service for mall visitors who want to watch in the cinema before entering the room.

"The free antigen test to cinema visitors was only carried out today in accordance with the orders of the Mayor of Bandarlampung, in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19," said Acting Head of the Bandarlampung City Health Service, Desti Mega Putri, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 4.

According to him, the antigen examination for cinema visitors is used as an effort to screen for COVID-19 cases and is also a form of service for the Bandarlampung City Government to the public.

"Essentially the government wants to protect its citizens from COVID-19 infection, so an antigen test is carried out before entering the cinema. Because Mayor Eva Dwiana reminds those who enter the cinema they must be in good health," he said.

Currently, the health team has been placed in four mall locations with cinemas in it, namely Transmart, Ciplaz, Boemi Kedaton Mall and Kartini Mall.

"We don't know how long the free antigen test will take for moviegoers, it will depend on instructions from the leadership," he said.

Desti said that if there were visitors who were exposed to COVID-19, they would immediately be asked to return to their homes.

"If they are found to be reactive, we ask them to go home, and later they will be monitored by the puskesmas near their homes," he said.

Previously, the Mayor of Bandarlampung, Eva Dwiana, allowed cinemas to open with a limited capacity of 50 percent of the room and implemented the PeduliLindung application.
