BANDA ACEH - The Opsnal Team of the Drug Investigation Unit of the Lhokseumawe Police, Aceh, thwarted the circulation of two kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. Police arrested three suspected drug dealers.

Lhokseumawe Police Chief AKBP Eko Hartanto said the arrests of the three suspected drug dealers were carried out in two places in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh District.

"From the arrests of the three suspected drug dealers, officers secured 1,028 grams and 1,024 grams of crystal methamphetamine," said AKBP Eko Hartanto, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 4.

AKBP Eko Hartanto said the three suspected methamphetamine dealers had the initials BF (21), a resident of Samudera Subdistrict, North Aceh Regency. BF was arrested with 1,028 grams of crystal methamphetamine in a Chinese tea package.

"Based on BF's confession, the prohibited items were obtained from suspect JC, who is currently being pursued by the police. The meth is planned to be marketed in Lhokseumawe City and North Aceh," said AKBP Eko Hartanto.

Next, the Opsnal Team of the Drug Investigation Unit of the Lhokseumawe Police arrested two other suspected traffickers, namely N (21), a resident of Lhokseumawe City, and J (54), a resident of Bireuen Regency.

"Both of them were arrested in the Muara Dua area, Lhokseumawe City. Together they were also secured with 1,024 grams of crystal methamphetamine," said AKBP Eko Hartanto.

The Lhokseumawe Police Chief said the second arrest was after the police disguised themselves as the buyer. During the disguise, there were two other suspected perpetrators, namely the initials D and H.

Based on the confessions of the two arrested perpetrators, said AKBP Eko Hartanto, they were given Rp 15 million if the methamphetamine was sold.

"The arrest of the three suspected drug dealers was based on public information. With the disclosure of this case, it saved thousands of young people from drug abuse," said AKBP Eko Hartanto.
