Police Hospital Focuses On Post-surgery Recovery For Sinta Aulia, A Bone Tumor Sufferer, Which Is The National Police Chief's Attention

JAKARTA - The National Police Hospital is focusing on recovering after the operation for Sinta Aulia Maulidyah (10), a child with a bone tumor in the leg who received attention from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Head of the Hospital (Karumkit) of the National Police Hospital Brigadier General Asep Hendradiana said Sinta Aulia's condition was getting better on the seventh day after undergoing hip disarticulation surgery (left hip joint amputation).

"On the 7th day of postoperative treatment, Alhamdulillah, Ananda Sinta Aulia's condition is now in the healing process, both the surgical and psychological wounds," said Brigadier General Asep at a press conference at the PTIK building, South Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

Asep explained that in handling Sinta Aulia's treatment, the Police Hospital Doctor Team collaborated with a number of specialist doctors and orthopedic and tumor specialists from the RSCM, RSPAD, Dharmais Cancer Hospital, and Siloam RSCC. In addition, it involves child psychology.

After surgery, continued Asep, Sinta was required to undergo chemotherapy to remove tumor cells in her body. The chemotherapy process will last for 3-4 weeks. Chemotherapy can be carried out in Jakarta or in his hometown of Rembang, Central Java.

"After the seventh day, the plan is that in the second week we will try to start for the next treatment, because post-surgery will be followed up with chemotherapy treatment," said Asep.

According to him, Sinta can take chemotherapy at her residence in Rembang. The National Police will facilitate and appoint Bhayangkara Hospital in Central and East Java to serve.

"In principle, he is currently trying to improve his nutrition and nutrition so that later chemotherapy treatment is ready to be carried out," he said.

For chemotherapy treatment requires a body condition that is adequate in nutrition and nutrition. Sinta Aulia's condition for more than a year has suffered from a leg tumor and needs to improve her nutrition and nutrition in order to undergo chemotherapy.

The National Police Chief ordered his staff to assist in handling Sinta Aulia's treatment, starting with deploying a Police Hospital helicopter to pick up Sinta in Rembang, then flying her to the Kramajati Police Hospital, Jakarta, Saturday, February 19.

Not only the National Police Chief, Sinta Aulia's illness received attention from the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who mobilized the Dharmais Cancer Hospital medical team to help with her treatment.
