The Police Arrest 3 Perpetrators Of The Arrow Shooter Who Stabbed In The Cheek Of Melisa Pangemanan, Manado Resident

MANADO - The Manado Police Team, North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi), arrested three wayer arrows that occurred on Jalan Sarapung, Wenang, Manado.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Manado Police, Kompol Taufiq Arifin, said that the disclosure of this case was based on the Police Report at the Wenang Police, Number: LP/29/II/2022/Sulut/Resta Manado/Sek.Urban Wenang, dated February 23, 2022.

"The perpetrators who have been arrested are three men, consisting of the main perpetrator or the one throwing the wayer arrow with the initials VK (20 years old) a resident of North Karombasan, Wanea, Manado, and two of his friends, namely FP (17), a resident of Calaca, Wenang, and RT (20 ), a resident of North Karombasan," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 25.

Kompol Taufiq said the three perpetrators were arrested on the evening of Thursday, February 24, at different locations. VK and FP were arrested at the Karombasan Market, Manado, while RT was arrested around the Manado Samrat Statue Roundabout.

"The evidence that was secured was one wayer arrow and one thrower," said Kompol Taufiq accompanied by the Head of Public Relations of the Manado Police, Iptu Sumardi.

The motive for the main perpetrator VK throwing the arrow was because he wanted revenge against a man with the initials N who often 'hangs out' around the crime scene (TKP), but got the wrong target.

Initially, on Wednesday, February 23 at around 00.00 WITA, the perpetrators of VK, FP, and RT along with three other people rode two motorbikes, each with three rides, from North Karombasan to the TKP to look for N.

"When he arrived at the TKP at around 01.00 WITA, VK saw a group of people who were gathered and immediately shot a wayer arrow, and hit the victim precisely on the right side of the face," he said.

After that, he continued, the perpetrators immediately fled. Meanwhile, the victim Melisa Pangemanan (22) was rushed by her friends to the hospital.

The other three perpetrators are still being chased by the police. Then the three perpetrators who have been arrested, namely VK, FP, and RT, along with the evidence have been handed over and secured at the Wenang Police for further investigation.

All three are subject to Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code Jo. Article 55, with a penalty of five years in prison.

"The condition of the victim is still under medical treatment at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Manado. The North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief visited the victim on Thursday (24/2), and at that time asked the ranks for this case to be immediately disclosed," he said.

Kompol Taufiq appealed to the public if they know of the makers of the wayer arrows to immediately report to the police.
