"A number of our students have colds and coughs, so teaching and learning activities at schools are temporarily closed to anticipate the transmission of COVID-19," said Head of SMP Negeri 1 Parigi Ikbal Abdul Aziz M who was contacted in Parigi, Antara, Friday, February 25.

The school's policy of delaying teaching and learning activities will take effect from Friday to Monday, February 27. Therefore, during the four days off, students are advised not to move outside the home.

In the last few months, face-to-face learning activities (PTM) have been carried out by 50 percent. Along with the vaccination of students at the school reaching 90 percent of the total 508 students, the school implemented a full PTM with a trial period of a week. "In the teaching and learning process at schools, we apply strict health protocols (prokes)," he said.
Although the PTM was temporarily postponed, the school continued to implement learning activities using online methods, so that students did not miss lessons.
"We monitor the implementation of learning from the school, and we have 18 study classes. Teachers and staff continue to carry out activities according to their respective duties," he said.
