Sanglah Hospital Denpasar Becomes A Quarantine Reference For G20 Summit Participants

DENPASAR - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan visited the Sanglah Central General Hospital (RSUP), Denpasar, Bali.

His visit to Sanglah Hospital was a preparation for Bali if it plans to have zero quarantine. Luhut said Sanglah Hospital was one of the quarantine references for Overseas Travelers (PPLN) or tourists who came to Bali and also participants of the G20 Summit.

"So we have held a pre-elementary meeting with the direction of the President (Jokowi). Later, we will report the results of our funding. Do we want to open it, when is zero quarantine, we have seen before, even if there is zero quarantine the hospital must be ready," said Luhut, Friday, February 25.

According to Luhut, Sanglah Hospital is ready to be a referral for COVID-19 patients for the G20 Summit. The plan is to develop it at Sanglah Hospital.

"Earlier we saw Sanglah Hospital with the Minister of Health. The hospital is much more ready. Then earlier, the Minister of Health also showed what he wanted to build in front of the Hospital in Sanglah, it was built to be newer. I saw the design was good," he added.

Apart from development, better facilities will also be provided. Such as in the ICU or Intensive Care Unit as well as in the internal and cardiac disease rooms.

"Later on, the facilities must be good, the ICU must be good, internal medicine is good, the heart is good. Yes (Sanglah) will be a reference later (G20 participants). Nan, if this is really ready, we might speed up the process," he said.
