DKI Regional Secretary Is Being Treated Intensively At RSPAD Due To COVID-19, Anies Prays For Healing

JAKARTA - DKI Regional Secretary Saefullah is reportedly being treated on an incentive basis at the Gatot Subroto Central Army Hospital (RSPAD), Central Jakarta. Saefullah was treated after testing positive for COVID-19.

In his written statement to all levels of the DKI Provincial Government, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan invited him to pray for Saefullah's recovery.

"I invite all ranks and families to pray for our brothers, Mr Sekda, Mr Saefullah who is currently in intensive care against COVID-19," said Anies, Monday, September 14.

Anies said, Saefullah was facing a difficult trial. He also asked his staff to give Saefullah strength in undergoing the treatment process.

"May Allah make it easy, Allah will hasten the healing, Allah will lift the disease, the recovery will be hastened and Mr. Sekda will soon be able to reunite with his family and with all of us," said Anies.

The news about Saefullah's condition was also confirmed by a member of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development, Naufal Firman Yusrak.

"That's right, (DKI Jakarta Secretary Saefullah is being treated intensively). Please pray, so that he will recover soon and be healthy again," said Naufal when confirmed.

The DKI Jakarta DPRD also prayed for Saefullah to recover from COVID-19. This prayer prayer was carried out before starting the Plenary Session on Monday.

"Before our meeting starts, let us read a prayer for the Regional Secretary, we hope that he will be healed," said Deputy Chairman of DKI Jakarta DPRD Muhammad Taufik.

As previously reported, Anies said that the DKI Regional Secretary had tested positive for COVID-19. Apart from Saefullah, West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kusmanto was also declared infected with COVID-19.

"It's been a long time, the incident (confirmed positive for COVID-19) was 10 days ago. We hope that hopefully a speedy recovery. But, (Saefullah and Uus when tested positive) were without symptoms," said Anies.

Apart from Saefullah and Uus, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also reported that seven regional officials were exposed to COVID-19.

Those exposed were DKI Regional Secretariat Government Assistant Reswan W. Soewaryo, Head of DKI Regional Secretariat Government Bureau Premi Lesari, Head of DKI Mental and Spiritual Education Bureau Hendra Hidayat, Head of DKI City Park and Forest Service Suzy Marsitawati.

Then, PD Pasar Jaya President Director Arief Nasruddin, Head of the City Planning and Environment Bureau Afan Adriansyah Idris, Chairman of the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development, Amin Subekti.
