JAKARTA - This is the condition of residential areas in the Kali Baru Fisherman's Village area, Cilincing, North Jakarta, which is surrounded by a sea of garbage. Hundreds of joint personnel from PPSU Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Environment Service and Water Resources Service began cleaning up the sea of garbage that surrounded hundreds of residents' houses, Wednesday (23/2). In order to clean up the sea of garbage along the Kali Baru sea wall, the officers deployed three units of heavy equipment escalators and ten fleets of garbage trucks. In addition to cleaning the garbage in the residents' settlements, the officers also cleaned the garbage in the waters of Kali Baru by deploying garbage transport boats. It is known, this garbage surrounded hundreds of houses in seven RT 02 RW 04 and 15 which were directly affected areas. It is planned that this garbage raid will be carried out for the next one week. Later, the majority of the waste, which is household waste, will be disposed of at the Bantar Gebang final disposal site, Bekasi. Watch the full video below.
