JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has re-imposed strict large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the Capital City. The Guard Indonesia Online Ojek Driver Association (Ojol) hopes that there will be social assistance (bansos) from the government.

"Garda Indonesia advised Social Minister Juliari Batubara to also pay attention to social assistance for ojol drivers as field workers who are directly affected by the PSBB in DKI Jakarta and in other areas that impose PSBB," said the Chairman of the Indonesian Guard Presidium, Igun Wicaksono to reporters, Monday, September 14th.

The same message was conveyed to President Jokow, who has been said to pay attention to the social interests of motorcycle taxi drivers through the relevant ministries.

"We hope that President Jokowi can also convey to the Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Batubara so that the Ministry of Social Affairs can distribute further social assistance packages to the ojol driver association which already has a database of registered drivers, which will then be distributed to eligible ojol drivers. , "Said Igun.

Garda Indonesia hopes that the social assistance package from the government is not only distributed to corporations, OJOL application companies, as has been done so far. However, the government is also asked to distribute to the association that covers its motorcycle taxi drivers with a valid database that is collected in the Garda Indonesia motorcycle taxi driver association so that distribution is also evenly distributed.

"The PSBB policy will definitely reduce the income of ojol drivers, so that the social assistance is expected to help ease the economic burden for ojol drivers," said Igun.
