The Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force Admits The Death Rate In Its Region Is Rising

TANGERANG - The Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force admitted that in its area there was an increase in the number of COVID-19 deaths. From January to February 2022, 9 people died from the virus.

Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Spokesperson, Dr Hendra Tarmizi confirmed that in his area there was an increase. Last added one person on Monday, February 21.

"Two days ago, I added one, I don't care about the name and where do you live, age 48 if I'm not mistaken," said Hendra when confirmed, Wednesday, February 23.

"In total, from January to now, 9 people have died from COVID-19. For a total of 407 people," he continued.

Hendra said that one COVID-19 patient who died had been given intensive care at the referral Regional Hospital (RSUD) belonging to the Tangerang Regency.

"We don't know (the type of variant), it's just that this patient has comorbidities and has only been vaccinated once," he said.

Meanwhile, there are around 12,085 new active cases, both patients undergoing treatment and patients undergoing isolation in integrated places. This brings the total confirmed cases to 49,561 people.

"There are 37,089 cases of recovered patients from COVID-19," he said.
