SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka opened his voice after being criticized by the Deputy Chairman of the Solo City DPRD, Sugeng Riyanto. Sugeng, who is also the Chairman of the PKS Regional Advisory Council (MPD) for the City of Solo, assessed that Gibran's communication style was poor in handling the furniture IKM center.

According to Gibran, Sugeng paid little attention to what he had been doing so far. For example, a trader at the Gilingan Furniture Market has agreed to be moved.

This means that the communication pattern that Gibran and the Solo City Government has built is good for the traders.

"The Gilingan Furniture Market has been completed, pie to? We're clear the gawean has been completed. It's just Mr. Sugeng who isn't happy," Gibran told reporters, quoted from Youtube news in Surakarta, Wednesday, February 22.

Gibran said the traders had agreed to be moved to the emergency market, waiting for the construction of the new Bong Mojo Furniture Market.

The eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) added, if his performance or the Solo City Government is bad in dealing with traders, the process of moving traders will certainly be in limbo. The fact is quite different. Because the communication was good, the merchant agreed to be moved.

"Unless the work isn't finished, the protest is okay. If there's a lack of communication, the work is done," said Gibran.

Gibran emphasized that he was very open to various criticisms. What this PKS conveyed remains the subject of performance evaluation. "I will evaluate the important thing to complete, the method is different, it's okay," Gibran said briefly.

Previously, the Deputy Chairman of the Solo DPRD compared the communication styles of Gibran and his father, Jokowi, who had served as mayor of Solo. According to Sugeng, if Gibran's communication is good like Jokowi's, of course there will be no turmoil of rejection.

"It (IKM development) is not as complicated as moving street vendors from Banjarsari during Pak Jokowi. This is a much simpler furniture market, the number of traders is also small. These rejections are unnecessary, if the Solo City Government is good at communicating," said Sugeng, Tuesday, February 22.

As a result, Sugeng asked Gibran to improve his communication style.
