KARAWANG - A total of 8 students died and 2 others were injured due to a fire that occurred at the Miftahul Khoirot Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Cilamaya Kulon, Karawang Regency. Here are the names of the victims.

3. Rian Aditio, Subang (7)

4. M. Akmal Maulana (12)

5. Mujaki Riadi, Cilamaya (13)

6. Moreno, Cilamaya (10)

7. Azka Pairul Gupron, Subang (11)

8. The body of the 8th is still in the Identification Process.

Meanwhile, two other names are currently undergoing treatment for their burns

In previous news, the fire incident at the Miftahul Khoiri Islamic Boarding School occurred on Monday, February 21, at 13.00 western Indonesia time. The fire is thought to have originated from an electrical short in the fan cable and spread to the students' mattresses. Because many materials are flammable, fire spreads quickly.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Grand Commissioner Pol. Ibrahim Tompo, said the victims were students who lived in the Islamic boarding school. The average age of the victims was under 15 years.

Until now, his party is still conducting an examination to determine more precisely the main cause of the fire.
