Umrah Pilgrims - Hajj And SIM Management - STNK Must Have BPJS Health

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) 1/2022 on Optimizing the Implementation of the National Health Insurance Program.

In the Presidential Instruction, President Jokowi requires the public to have a BPJS card if they want to get public services, one of which is Umrah administration services and the issuance of a driver's license.

In the fifth point, the Ministry of Religion section letter b, requires prospective Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to have BPJS Health Cards.

"Requires prospective Umrah pilgrims and special Hajj pilgrims to be active participants in the National Health Insurance program,"

In addition to requiring BPJS Health as one of the conditions for buying and selling land, it was revealed that the government also requires BPJS Health cards as a condition for Umrah registration to arrange for a Driving License (SIM).

In point 25 of the section of the Indonesian National Police letter a, people who want to have a SIM and apply for a Vehicle Number Certificate (STNK) must have a BPJS Health Card.

"Improve regulations to ensure that applicants for a Driving Permit, Vehicle Number Certificate, and Police Record Certificate are active participants in the National Health Insurance program,"
