Construction Almost Completed, JIS Open-close Roof Begins To Be Installed

JAKARTA - The construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) until the 128th week has reached 96.97 percent realization. Currently, the work is starting to enter the process of installing a retractable roof.

This open-closed roof makes the stadium usable when it rains or when it is hot during the day so that matches, concerts, conferences, and other activities can continue.

"This roof makes JIS one of the only unique icons in Jakarta, even Indonesia, which uses an open and closed roof," said Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Nadia Diposanjoyo in a statement, Friday, February 18.

In addition to installing the stadium roof, Jakpro is also installing ETFE membranes, sky view decks, trimming the precast stands, and installing regular seats.

In addition, the completion of the concourse area, the completion of the seams on the facade, hardscape, and landscape segments on the west and east ramps, as well as work on the ground water tank and MEPplant.

Some time ago, JIS was used as the location for the Urban 20 discussion with the theme "Urban Issues in the Indonesian G20 Presidency".

This event is a series of appointments for the City of Jakarta as the host of the summit of world city leaders at the Urban 20 (U20) Mayors Summit 2022, as part of the agenda of the G20 Indonesia Presidency.

The talk which was held on Wednesday, February 16, was attended by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil as U20 Co-Chair, Sintesa Group CEO Shinta Wijaya Kamdani as B20 Chair, Chairman of the Renewable Energy Society (METI) Surya Dharma, and moderated by Founder Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI) Dino Patty Djalal.
