TANGERANG - The Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, admitted that the third dose of COVID-19 vaccination or booster in his area was only 114,000 people from the target of 1,479,301 people.

The calculation of the percentage means that in Tangerang City it has only reached 6.9 percent.

"Until February 15, 2022, the booster is 114,000 (people), (So) only 7 percent, approximately 6.9 percent. Because it turns out, we are vaccinated, there are approximately 8,000 a day," said Arief when confirmed, Thursday, February 17th.

Arief admits the problem is at least the third dose of vaccine, because many residents have not received the second dose.

He gave an example, on February 15, 2022, around 4,000 people were vaccinated against the booster. Then, the number of residents who were vaccinated with the second dose was around 3,800 people.

"There are still doses of two. So here, the third dose was yesterday on the 15th, it was 4,000. The second dose is 3,800, so it's 50-50. There is even one dose, 603," he said.

“There is still something that needs to be in dose two and dose one. We serve anyone who wants to be vaccinated, if he wants one dose, two doses, three, we just inject it," he continued.

For information, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination was 1,577,483 people or 106.6 percent as of January 30, 2022 in Tangerang City.

Then, on the same date, the second dose of vaccination reached 1,173,502 people or 79.3 percent in the region.
