Indramayu Police Detains 10 People Involved In Misuse Of Subsidized Fertilizer, Sells At A Price Difference Of IDR 150 Thousand Per Sak

JABAR - The Indramayu Police, West Java, revealed a case of misuse of subsidized fertilizers. As many as 10 people involved have been arrested, including evidence of 10 tons of fertilizer.

"We have 10 suspects arrested," said Indramayu Police Chief AKBP M Lukman Syarif in Indramayu as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

Lukman said the 10 suspects who were arrested had the initials KNT, YN, RK, MA, AM, JY, AT, AR, RS, and CS. Those arrested by the police have their respective roles.

Lukman said the case was initiated by KNT, a resident of Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency, who ordered 10 tons of subsidized fertilizer or 200 sacks from suspect YN, a resident of Subang Regency.

YN, then ordered subsidized fertilizer from the Lancar Abadi fertilizer kiosk owned by MA, a resident of Karawang Regency.

"The subsidized fertilizer should be in Karawang Regency, but it is sold in Indramayu with a price difference of Rp. 100-150 thousand per sack," he said.

While the other six people who were arrested were truck drivers and porters. From the disclosure of the case, Lukman continued, his party confiscated several items that were used as evidence, including 10 tons of subsidized fertilizer, cell phones, trucks, two sales notes and others.

"As a result of his actions, our suspect will be charged with an economic crime trial, which carries a maximum prison sentence of two years," he said.
