JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra Party faction, Mohamad Taufik assesses that the plan to sell Formula E tickets is a normal thing even though the track for the electric car race has not been completed.

According to Taufik, ticket sales are a common thing, just like apartments that have been marketed even though the building is not yet finished and interested parties can pay first while waiting for the construction to be completed.

"It's the same everywhere (sell first). People sell apartments too, the apartments don't exist yet, they've been sold," said Taufik, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 14.

Therefore, according to him, ticket sales should not be a problem even though the race track has not yet been completed because it is part of the marketing system.

Taufik also said that the construction of the electric race track in the Ancol Dreamland Park area will soon be completed according to the target so that ticket sales along with the construction of the track will not cause problems.

"They (Jakpro) already have a circuit calculation that is based on a month, at most two months it has been completed. What's so difficult?," he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta DPRD Member Gilbert Simanjuntak criticized the ticket sales for Formula E Jakarta, which is planned to start in March 2022, because it was deemed not "fit" given the unfinished circuit.

DKI Jakarta BUMD, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer of Formula E Jakarta, said that tickets for the electric car racing event are planned to go on sale in March 2022.

"Ready for March," said PT Jakpro President Director Widi Amanasto when contacted by reporters.
