The Chirping Bird Theft Is Recorded On CCTV, Victim Complains To Mr. RW, Hasn't Reported To Police

JAKARTA - A group of thieves specializing in chirping birds carried out their action in a resident's house in Gang Swadaya, RT 12/08, Pekayon Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta.

Unmitigated, the perpetrators managed to tame the contestant quality birds belonging to the residents. According to Nia, a neighbor of the victim, the contest bird belonging to her neighbor was stolen by the perpetrators last Friday, February 11th. Luckily, the perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV cameras.

"The perpetrators were two people, they came riding a motorbike. In fact, when the incident happened, the conditions were quiet because people were at Friday prayers," he told reporters, Monday, February 14.

From CCTV footage, at first one of the perpetrators who was ridden got off the motorbike and then walked to the victim's house. Meanwhile, the other perpetrators sat in the vehicle while observing the situation.

After making sure there were no residents passing by the scene, the perpetrator immediately took the bird and its cage which was hung on the ceiling of the terrace of the house.

"It happened quickly, after taking the bird and its cage, it immediately ran away. The perpetrator who took it had passed in front of the house, he pretended to walk while playing with his cellphone," he said.

The theft went unnoticed by local residents because at the time of the incident, the cage was covered with a red cloth, so the birds inside did not sing.

"As far as I know this is the first time this has happened. As for what kind of bird, I don't know, but he said he often participates in competitions like that," he said.

Nia said that her neighbor who was the victim of the contest bird theft had not reported the incident to the Pasar Rebo Police, only notifying the local RT and RW management.
