7 Perpetrators Of Brawl In Kemayoran, Central Jakarta Arrested, They Are Still Minors

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police has arrested seven brawlers on Jalan Dakota Raya, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta. They are still minors.

"The seven perpetrators are still minors, they have been arrested. They are minors," said Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Ewo Samono when contacted by VOI, Sunday, February 13.

The seven perpetrators who were arrested have the initials BDM (17) a Dakota resident, MI (16) a Dakota resident, LSZ (14) a Dakota resident, DZ (14) a Dakota resident, DP (14) a Dakota resident, MDR (14) a Dakota resident and ES ( 18) Dakota resident.

"The perpetrators were secured from the scene of the brawl incident. Those who were secured were taken to the Kemayoran Police to be recorded and examined," he said.

Police are still investigating the cause of the brawl. When the investigation was carried out, the two parties involved in the brawl were local residents and not a motorcycle gang.

"(They are) local residents, between Dakota residents and Boeing. Not a motorcycle gang," said Kompol Ewo.

Currently, the case of the brawl between residents is still being handled by the Kemayoran Police Headquarters. Separately confirmed, the Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police AKP Sam Suharto said that as a result of the brawl there were no casualties or injuries. Seven of the perpetrators have also been detained at the Kemayoran Police.

"No sharp weapons were found from the perpetrators," he said.

Previously, it was reported that two groups of teenagers from the Dakota Flat and Boeing Flat were involved in a brawl on Jalan Dakota Raya, Kebon Blank Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta on Sunday, February 13, at around 03.30 WIB.

The brawl also went viral on Instagram, @lensa_berita_jakarta. The video shows an attack from one of the youth groups into the apartment area in the Kemayoran area.

Several youths were seen throwing blunt objects at their opponents. This brawl is thought to have occurred on the access road in front of the entrance of a flat.
