KPK Examines The Deputy Chairman Of The Surabaya District Court On The Alleged Bribery Of Judge Itong

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned a number of witnesses related to allegations of bribery in the management of cases at the Surabaya District Court, East Java.

There were five witnesses who were summoned, one of whom was Deputy Chairperson of the Surabaya District Court, Dju Johnson Mira Mangngi. He will be questioned to complete the files belonging to the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat.

"Today, the witness examines the bribery case in the Surabaya District Court, East Java for suspect IIH," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Friday, February 11.

Apart from Dju Johnson, Ali said that investigators also summoned lawyers named Michael Christ Harianto and Yeremias Jeri Susilo; PT Teduh Karya Utama accounting staff, Hervien Dyah Oktiyana; as well as a lawyer at the RM advocate's office. Hendro Kasiono, Lilia Mustika Dewi.

"The examination was carried out in the examination room of the Ditreksrimsus Polda Jatim," he said.

The material for the examination of these five witnesses is not yet known. However, they are suspected of knowing about Itong's alleged receipt of bribes to take care of cases in court.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) determined that the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and the substitute clerk, Hamdan, were the recipients of bribes. While the giver is a lawyer and representative of PT Soyu Giri Primedika, Hendro Kasiono.

This bribe was given by Hendro Kasiono so that the decision on the PT SGP case was according to his party's wishes, namely that the company was declared disbanded with a divisible asset value of IDR 50 billion.

The money given by Hendro to Hamdan was carried out in the parking lot of the Surabaya District Court Building amounting to Rp140 million as a sign of completion. However, before the money was in the hands of Judge Itong, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).
