There Are 1.6 Million Participants Not Eligible To Get Salary Subsidy Assistance, How Can They Pass?

JAKARTA - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan or BP Jamsostek continues to validate data on salary or wage subsidy recipients. As many as 14.5 million registered aid recipients. However, after being re-validated using the standards of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), there were 1.6 million participants who were not eligible.

BP Jamsostek President Director Agus Susanto said the participant data was included in the invalid category and was not forwarded, because it did not match the criteria of the Ministry of Manpower.

Furthermore, Agus explained, of this figure, 62 percent had wages of more than IDR 5 million. Meanwhile, the absolute requirement to get this assistance is to have a wage of under IDR 5 million. Then, the remaining 38 percent were registered as members of BP Jamsostek over June 2020.

"Why did it get away? Because maybe the company has difficulty choosing which workers have wages below Rp. 5 million. So the logs are sent. Finally selected by our system," he said, in a video conference, Tuesday, September 8.

In addition, Agus suspects that the passing of 1.6 million participant data is not entitled because employers or companies have difficulty sorting out data between employees who were before June and new employees, so all data is sent. Because of this, BP Jamsostek applies layered validation.

Agus explained, until now there are still 19 thousand invalid data. However, he said, the data still deserves assistance, provided the company improves data on its workers.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said that with the 3.5 million data submitted by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan today, the total data for prospective recipients of salary or wage subsidies from stages I, II and III is 9 million.

The details are that in stage I, August 24, the Ministry of Manpower has received 2.5 million data on potential recipients of salary or wage subsidies. Then, followed by phase II on September 1 with 3 million data.

"Currently, some of the data received from stages I and II have been successfully distributed to recipients and some are still in process," he said, in a virtual press conference with BP Jamsostek, Tuesday, September 8.

Ida explained that the mechanism for distributing stage III salaries or wages subsidies is still the same as the previous stage. Where the data that has been handed over will be checked by the Ministry of Manpower first. In accordance with the technical guidelines, the Ministry of Manpower has 4 days to make a check list.
