JAKARTA - The candidate for deputy mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel), Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, considered the absence of Class A / B Hospitals in the South Tangerang area, as an irony. "Ironically, Tangsel City does not have a regional hospital (RSUD) class A / B, so today's examination was carried out at the Tangerang District Hospital. Saraswati said the health sector in Tangsel City is being neglected because the costs for procuring medical devices have been corrupted.

"We already know who the perpetrators are and have been convicted by the Corruption Court," he said

The corruption case for medical devices in Tangsel City has led to a number of names. One of them is the President Commissioner of PT Balisific Pragama, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana alias Wawan who is the younger brother of former Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah.

In July, Wawan was sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million, a subsidiary of six months in prison.

The Jakarta Corruption Court Council stated that the husband of the Mayor of Tangsel, Airin Rachmi Dian, was proven to have committed corruption in the procurement of medical equipment for the Banten Referral Hospital in the 2012 APBD and 2012 APBD-Amendments and the procurement of general medical devices at the South Tangerang City Health Center for the 2012 Budget.

In this case, Wawan's actions resulted in losses of up to Rp94.3 billion.

From this case, Saraswati promised to eradicate corruption cases and create a corruption prevention system by building a more transparent and accountable system

"According to the mission of Muhamad-Saraswati, Tangsel City is transparent, accountable, real devotion is not corruption, mutual cooperation, prosperous citizens, beautiful city and noble character," said the nephew of the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.

This Gerindra party politician also promised to improve the facilities of the Tangsel Hospital to become a class A hospital and improve the quality of existing puskesmas.

"We will upgrade Tangsel Hospital to Class A Hospital and also improve the quality of medical equipment and services in health centers in Tangsel," he concluded.
