JAKARTA - Heavy rain has flushed Jakarta since yesterday afternoon. As a result, Jakarta and its surrounding areas were flooded. The blackout began in the morning until this news was written. One of the areas affected by the blackout is Palmerah, West Jakarta.

However, as a result of the blackout, fast food restaurants in the area were actually busy with visits. One of them is observed at McDonald's Palmerah. The goal is not just to buy food, but also to take advantage of cell phone charging services.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, most of the visitors were young people. However, some of them are one family with small children. This restaurant suddenly changed like a crowded refugee post.

It was also seen that several prospective buyers asked the guards to make sure the seats were still empty. Some of them also decided to come out again.

One of the visitors, Dinda (27) said, the blackout since the morning has disturbed his activities. The choice is to visit McDonald's because only this restaurant has the electricity on. Dinda even brought an electric connector.

"Power outage. From 8 am. So let's just come here. Yes, bring a long plug to charge, so it can be used together," he said when met in Palmerah, West Jakarta, Wednesday, January 1.

Dinda was not alone, she came with three of her friends. They look busy in front of the laptop screen and device. When the electricity goes out, taking refuge is indeed an option. In addition, in order to stay in touch with family and coworkers, it is imperative that you keep your device on.

"Floods are also everywhere. So we don't go to the office. Instead of at home, the electricity goes out," he said.
