Makassar Public Works Agency Prepares IDR 543 Billion Infrastructure Project This Year

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Public Works Agency (PU) through the Public Procurement Plan Information System (SiRUP) website announced that it has prepared a budget of Rp543 billion for 404 infrastructure project activities in 2022.

The Makassar Public Works Agency is one of the regional apparatus organizations (OPD) that announced the 2021 General Procurement Plan (RUP) with the largest budget.

Head of the Makassar Public Works Agency, Zuhaelsi Zubir, said that all fields in the Makassar Public Works Service were preparing all the documents for the activity.

"We have held a meeting with the Goods and Services Procurement Section (PBJ) in order to review the general procurement plan (RUP)," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 7.

On the SiRUP website, the Makassar Public Works Agency announced that the 48 project packages prepared could cost up to Rp259.8 billion of a total of Rp543 billion specifically for infrastructure.

More than half of the budget will be disbursed for capital expenditures for office buildings. The total budget is IDR 190 billion.

In addition, the Department of Public Works has also prepared around Rp. 200 billion for the construction of road infrastructure.

Zuhaelsi said that after a joint study was carried out, the Makassar Public Works Agency's RUP would be re-announced on the SiRUP website, which targets the announcement of the RUP to be published no later than the end of February 2022.

"No later than the end of February. Then, in March the tender will be held," he said.

This year, the Makassar Public Works Agency manages a budget of IDR 897.6 billion. The budget consists of operating expenses of Rp. 195.3 billion and capital expenditures of Rp. 702.3 billion.

The Head of the Road and Bridge Construction Section, Darlis, said that all sectors in the Makassar Public Works Service were preparing their own estimated prices (HPS) for each planned activity.

"Currently, all fields are preparing HPS. After that, the package of activities will be announced," said Darlis.

According to him, the announcement of the RUP this year is different from last year. In 2022, all announced RUPs will certainly be tendered.

Unlike last year, there were many RUPs announced, but these activities were cancelled.

One of them is in the construction or rehabilitation of city roads, namely there are 10 activity packages planned, but only five activity packages have been successfully implemented.
