JAKARTA - The Tangerang Selatan City Government, Banten, has implemented a Distance Learning (PJJ) system from 7-18 February 2022 or two weeks for all levels of education related to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie said the decision to implement the PJJ was based on SE No. 421/905-Disdikbud and input from the education board, school supervisors for kindergarten, elementary, vocational, MKKS and K3S elementary schools.

He said education units should monitor and evaluate the implementation of distance learning through the Google Form in their respective fields.

"Besides PJJ, we also have to do extra protection for ourselves and those around us. Continue to comply with health protocols and avoid crowds," said Mayor Benjamin and a message sent through his social media, Monday, February 7.

The Distance Learning System also applies in the Tangerang Regency area starting today until the deadline to be determined by the policy of the COVID-19 task force team.

The decision was made by the Tangerang Regency Government because it was following up on the circular letter of the Head of Education Office No. 420/ 505-Disdik dated February 2, 2022 regarding the tightening of PTM based on the results of the monitoring and evaluation of the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force that until February 4, 2022 the spread of COVID-19 continued to increase.

Meanwhile in Tangerang City, the policy of implementing Distance Learning has been implemented since January 25, 2022. This is because the Mayor of Tangerang, Arief R Wismansyah, wants there to be no clusters in schools and part of efforts to save students from COVID-19 transmission, reported by Antara.
