Recently Added, Patient Room Occupancy At Hotel Yasmin Tangerang Shelter Reaches 120 Percent

TANGERANG - The occupancy of rooms for the isolation of positive COVID-19 confirmed patients at the Yasmin Hotel, Tangerang Regency has reached 120 percent. It was recorded that there were 269 patients undergoing treatment at the place.

"(Housing) Yasmin Hotel has reached 120 percent, a total of 269," said Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Spokesperson, Dr Hendra Tarmizi when contacted by VOI, Sunday, February 6.

Therefore, his party has reactivated centralized isolation houses in every sub-district in Tangerang Regency. This is done so that there is no wider spread of COVID-19.

"The location has been exhausted, so in each sub-district (central isolation houses are activated," he said.

The same thing was said by the Coordinator of the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Stopover Hotel Volunteer Team, Dr Maulia Rahma. He confirmed that currently the patients at the Yasmin Hotel had exceeded their capacity.

He added that in a day at the Yasmin Hotel Shelter as many as 50 COVID-19 patients entered the place.

"Yes, that's right, now there should be 240 269 patients, yesterday there were above 30 in total, there were 30, some were 50 a day," said Maulia when contacted by VOI.id, Sunday, February 6.

Maulia explained that to deal with the boom in COVID-19 patients, she used each room to be used as a place of isolation.

"It's us, now we're a family, sometimes if there's only two of us in one room, we get an extra bed so we can have three. (Then) what used to be one person in one room, if for example a woman's room with a woman, even though it's not a family, we have to unite it with an extra bed," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) added 120 special rooms for isolated COVID-19 patients at the Yasmin Hotel. So now the total number of rooms is 240 rooms.

Tangerang Regent, Zaki Iskandar said that 300 of the 240 rooms could be occupied by 300 people. If in one room is a family cluster.

"The capacity is 240 rooms, for a family about 300, so one family can use three and if possible can bring toddlers," said Zaki to reporters at the Yasmin Hotel, Curug, Tangerang Regency.
