KSP Encourages ASN To Become Communicators Who Evokes G20 Presidency Fever

JAKARTA - Deputy IV Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Juri Ardiantoro encourages state civil servants (ASN) to become communicators in glorifying G20 Presidency issues and building a G20 "fever" in society.

“We have more than 30 ministries/agencies, 34 provinces, and 514 districts/cities, not to mention the many sub-districts, sub-districts, and villages in Indonesia. You can imagine how many ASN and government officials we can encourage to become communicators to convey the glorification of the G20 issues and build the G20 'fever'," said the jury in a written statement from KSP quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Saturday, February 5.

The jury's statement was delivered in the online seminar "Kick Off Setneg Mantul Road to G20" held by the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) and the Government Public Relations Coordinating Board.

The jury explained that an important strategy for grounding the narrative and glorifying G20 issues was strong collaboration between all ASNs, branches of the government bureaucracy, the community, and various other parties.

The jury said the central government encouraged local governments to the ranks of apparatus in sub-districts and villages/kelurahan to communicate G20 issues in various ways.

“We need to give a message to the public that Indonesia is a strong country and has a lot of capital to be able to survive in facing problems. In addition, we must show that Indonesia is playing an important role in international relations," he said.

He hopes that the G20 can become a legacy of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government and increase public confidence in the government's performance.

KSP actively collaborates with the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) and the Ministry of State Secretary in integrating narratives for information dissemination from the implementation of the G20 Presidency.

“In the community there is a growing public perception that the G20 is an elitist issue that is not accessible to the public. This is a challenge for us to ground the G20 issue so that it is easy to understand so that it becomes a shared issue belonging to the community and the grassroots," said Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama as quoted from the KSP statement.
