Luhut Asked All Kemenko Marves Employees To Work From Home Starting Monday 7 September

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) will implement Work from Home (WFH) activities for all employees from Monday 7 September to 21 September 2020. This is done in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the ministry. .

This decision was confirmed by the issuance of Circular (SE) Number 20 of 2020 concerning Implementation of Work from Home in the context of Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment on Friday 4 September.

"I issued the Circular to deal with the COVID-19 problem in the Coordinating Ministry for Marves," said Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Sesmenko) Agung Kuswandono as quoted from Antara, Saturday, September 5.

The SE itself was issued following the existence of six employees within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment who were reactive to COVID-19 based on the results of the swab test which was held on September 3, 2020.

After the investigation was carried out, it was found that employees who were reactive to COVID-19 were infected by family members, in this case from external to the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

As a preventive measure, the SE is aimed at middle-high officials so that they can direct employees in their respective work units to work at home and turn face-to-face meetings into virtual meetings.

"I need to convey that we have carried out the health protocol intensively, we have done it in various ways according to government regulations. So we install temperature detection devices, we prepare sinks, we prepare disinfectants, hand sanitizers. And every week we spray disinfectants," he explained. .

Agung added that according to the Permanent Procedure (Protap) for handling COVID-19, every employee who comes in contact with a test swab will then be carried out by all employees of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

"The directive for working from home is a form of security, thus we ask employees to maintain their health, continue to do activities in their homes and we pray together that this COVID-19 will soon pass," concluded Agung.
