UK PCINU: Hundreds Of Santri Diaspora Ready To Serve

JAKARTA - Secretary of the United Kingdom Nahdlatul Ulama (PCINU) Special Branch Management (United Kingdom) Munawir Aziz confirmed that hundreds of students diaspora are ready to serve Indonesia.

"If the data is taken seriously, there are hundreds of diaspora students who have expertise in science and other fields, and are ready to serve," said Munawir in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 3.

He emphasized that the UK PCINU is ready to serve the current and future digital transformation and innovation of the NU Executive Board.

"We have dozens of expert students across fields, some professors, some expert researchers at British campuses and some practitioners in international companies," he said.

This commitment was conveyed by Munawir in relation to President Jokowi's request that PBNU "bring home" Ainun Najib, and the santri diaspora, to serve NU.

"This is very proud, because Ainun Najib is a representative of professional students abroad," he said.

However, according to Munawir, there are still hundreds of santri/Nahdliyyin currently studying and working abroad, who have expertise in various fields, both data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, financial technology and various other skills.

In fact, he said, there are some diaspora students who are also professors and influential in various international campuses. Some practitioners also become experts in international institutions.

"They are actually ready to be khidmah, and really want to be invited to fight together to serve NU and Indonesia," he emphasized.

He hopes that PBNU should and should have prepared a scheme so that the khidmah can be carried out with an integrated digital system.

"So, there is a task command, project coordination, and then small teams between diaspora students who support each other to help one innovation prepared by PBNU," explained Munawir.

According to him, if the basic task or project with clear deadlines and neat technical coordination, then wherever the khidmah will be possible.

"It could be that the team is from Singapore, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, England, America, Australia, or any country. However, PBNU is still commanded and orchestrated," said Munawir.
