JAKARTA - Adjid Effendi and Rimih became participants in a mass marriage at the City Hall of DKI with the oldest age on this New Year's Eve. Adjid is 77 years old, while Rimih is 55 years old.

Accompanied by their family, Adjid and Rimih departed from their residence in the Pekayon area, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.

Adjid and Rimih felt that they did not need to wear the typical newlyweds' clothes. On the night of the legalization of their household, Adjid wore a brown batik shirt, black trousers, a cap, and loafers.

For information, the DKI Provincial Government is holding a mass wedding ceremony to help Jakarta residents who are unable to hold private weddings. This is because the cost of weddings in the capital is quite expensive.

There were 633 pairs of mass marriage participants, consisting of 143 new weddings and 490 pairs of weddings.

All participants will receive free marriage fees and marriage fees, a dowry of Rp1 million and wedding gifts.
