Governor Rusdy Mastura Meets Coordinating Minister Luhut To Discuss Central Sulawesi's Strategic Position As Support For The New IKN

SULTENG - The Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) together with the Central Government began discussing the province as a strategic area to support the acceleration of development and sustainability of the new State Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan Province.

"The Governor of Central Sulawesi as the representative of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government has met with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, to discuss the position of Central Sulawesi as a strategic area to support IKN," said Central Sulawesi Governor's Expert Expert, M Ridha Saleh when contacted from Palu, Antara, Wednesday, February 2.

The meeting between the Governor of Central Sulawesi Rusdy Mastura and the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhur Panjaitan took place last week in Jakarta. The second meeting, continued Ridha Saleh, discussed Central Sulawesi's position on IKN, because Central Sulawesi is geographically close to East Kalimantan.

"Transportation is also very possible from Central Sulawesi to IKN in East Kalimantan and vice versa from East Kalimantan to Central Sulawesi," said Edang, M Ridha Saleh's nickname.

In addition, in terms of natural resources, Central Sulawesi is considered very strategic because it has abundant natural resource potential, so it is believed to be able to support the acceleration of development and sustainability of IKN.

"In terms of natural resources, Central Sulawesi is very adequate to provide support to IKN," said Ridha Saleh.

"So, one of the topics discussed from the meeting was about Central Sulawesi as a strategic buffer area or support for the acceleration of development and sustainability of IKN," said Edang.

The Central Sulawesi Provincial Government is currently starting to prepare strategic infrastructure that is directly connected to IKN in East Kalimantan. The infrastructure includes roads and bridges, as well as ports, which function to supply logistics and materials to IKN.
