AGO Seeks Truth Information Djoko Tjandra's Brother-in-law Has Passed Away

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office is still looking for the truth of the information that Djoko Tjadra's brother-in-law, Herijadi, has died. This is because until now the Attorney General's Office does not know the detailed information.

"It is not yet known (whether Harijadi's truth has been cut or not). The team is still running (to trace it). We don't know the address. Which one is that," said Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Ali Mukartono to reporters, Friday, 4 September.

The news of Harijadi's death was informed by Djoko Tjandra while undergoing an examination at the Attorney General's Office. Herikadi himself was said to be the broker for the bribery of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari.

Herijadi is said to have given money to Andi Irfan Jaya which was then given to Pinangki. This US $ 500 thousand cash was referred to as the advance for the fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra would not be executed in the Bank Bali cessie case at the Supreme Court.

However, Ali could not reveal Herijadi's role in this case. Because, until now his party is still looking for information about the truth of Herijadi's death.

"I don't know (about the relationship) either. But there is someone, right? Well, what is the connection and so on, because the information or the issue is dead, let the team check first," he said.

Djoko Tjandra's lawyer, Soesilo Aribowo, said that Herijadi was asked by his client to hand over the money to Andi Irfan Jaya. The money is used for the MA fatwa. Based on medical information, Herijadi was declared to have contracted COVID-19.

"That was Herijadi's money, which Joko borrowed USD 500 thousand," said Soesilo.
