DENPASAR - The National Police's Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Agus Andrianto, emphasized the one-price cooking oil policy. This policy is regulated in the domestic market obligation (DMO) or a regulation called MPO DPO.

"The government's policy is clear, one price and even retail prices are also different. Hopefully, with the DMO and MPO issued by the government's policy of the Ministry of Trade, we can guarantee the availability of cooking oil needs to the community," said Komjen Agus in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, February 2nd.

Meanwhile, regarding the price of cooking oil that still exceeds the price set by the government, Komjen Agus said that this happened because traders bought cooking oil at the old price before the policy was set by the government.

"Because it was previously possible to take it, the price is higher if you sell it cheaper you will lose. But the government's policy has been set and now there is a DMO and MPO policy, hopefully this will guarantee the people's need for oil," he said.

"So if previously there was no such (policy). For, palm oil CPO there is no obligation to market it domestically, (and now) 20 percent if I'm not mistaken," he said.

The government previously guaranteed the availability of domestic cooking oil raw material stocks so that the price of cooking oil was affordable by the wider community by using the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) and Domestic Price Obligation (DPO) policies. The DMO and DPO policies that are implemented are ensured that they must not harm oil palm farmers.

"The price of Rp 9,300/Kg is the selling price of CPO for 20 percent of the obligation to supply domestically in the context of implementing DMO. The DMO and DPO policies have been misinterpreted by several palm oil business actors who are supposed to buy CPO through an auction mechanism managed by KPBN at auction prices. made an offer at the DPO price. This has made oil palm farmers nervous.
