JAKARTA - A resident of Cibubur, East Jakarta, Kiasatina Amalia is encouraged to help with the intake of Mother's Milk (ASI) for babies who have no mother due to death due to COVID-19.

"No need to wait to be rich to share, no need to wait for success to give, no need to wait to be great to be useful to others. I share with what I have," Kiasatina said, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 1.

Kiasatina, who is usually called Tina, pumps her breast milk every day to be donated to a number of babies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. At first, Tina felt sorry for the news of the death of mothers due to COVID-19 which she learned from various reports in the mass media.

His thoughts were on the children of the victims. Not infrequently mothers who died still had children who needed exclusive breastfeeding.

Out of compassion for the situation, Tina started pumping her breast milk and placed it in a container, then offered it for free on social media to give to babies in need.

Tina's social action also received sympathy from a number of her colleagues. They were moved to want to do the same.

On their way, Tina and her colleagues encountered problems because they were unable to provide containers or bags to store breast milk and refrigerators so that the breast milk they stored was not damaged.

Berani Bangkit volunteers provided assistance in the form of refrigerators and 100 ml breast milk bottles to Tina and other donors so that they could continue their social action.

"Based on Tina's mother's story, the Berani Bangkit volunteer gave a donation to Tina to continue her good work," said Deputy Volunteer National Coordinator of Berani Bangkit Zaenal Abidin in a written statement.

The donation was made on Sunday, January 30 at Cibubur Housing, East Jakarta. "Dare to Rise itself is a voluntary movement for Recovery Indonesia due to the impact of COVID-9, which is engaged in social activities including education, MSMEs, and the needs of housewives," he said.

Zaenal said the movement took on the role of assisting the government in Indonesia's recovery.

"We hope that with this movement, Indonesia can escape from difficult times together in solving the nation's solution, because we are a strong nation. Therefore, we should not be afraid to do more," he said.
