SURABAYA - The prospective mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi packs his belongings after resigning from the position of Head of the City Development Planning Agency (Bappeko) of the Surabaya City Government. Tomorrow Eri Cahyadi and Armuji will register their candidacy in the Surabaya Regional Head Election to the KPU.

"I have to commit because I have resigned from ASN, so as soon as possible I must remove all state facilities I use. The sooner the better because I don't want to be seen as using people's facilities for political purposes," said Eri Cahyadi to reporters in Surabaya.

The plan is that Eri-Armuji, who is carried by the PDI Perjuangan, will register his candidacy at the Surabaya KPU at 14.00 WIB, Friday, September 4.

"We have assigned Mr. Whisnu (Whisnu Sakti Buana) to accompany the Surabaya City PDIP DPC, to deliver the PDIP's registration of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor to the KPU," said the Chairman of the East Java PDIP DPD, Kusnadi, Thursday, September 3.

The chairman of the East Java DPRD said that his party had purposely assigned Whisnu to accompany Eri-Armuji to the KPU, representing the East Java PDIP DPD.

"I have confirmed to Mas Whisnu, and am ready to accompany registration to the KPU tomorrow," said Kusnadi.

Kusnadi ensured that the PDIP cadres in Surabaya were solid in winning Eri-Armuji. Moreover, Whisnu had previously made sure to comply with Megawati Soekarnoputri's decision in the Surabaya Pilkada candidacy.

"This shows that the PDIP in Surabaya is solid, for the process of winning the Pilkada in Surabaya," said Kusnadi.

Regarding the candidacy of Eri-Armuji, Megawati asked for a solid cadre. Megawati threatened to impose sanctions for those who did not comply with party decisions.

“I just said consolidate the party, that's why I said watch out for Surabaya, who will play against me. Remember Surabaya, ”Megawati ordered.
