3 Of 4 Men Arrested By The Kemayoran Police For Carrying Sharp Weapons, Still Minors

JAKARTA - Four motorcycle gangs equipped with sharp weapons were arrested by the Kemayoran Police while looking for victims in the area of Jalan Letjen Suprapto, Cempaka Baru Village, Kemayoran, East Jakarta.

Three of the perpetrators were minors, namely AS (16), TA (15) and MR (17). Meanwhile, another person has the initials AP (26).

"Out of the four perpetrators, two of them were found carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle," Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Ewo Samono when contacted by VOI, Monday, January 31.

Kompol Ewo explained that the arrest of the four motorcycle gang perpetrators began with a joint patrol from the Kemayoran Police with members of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Precise patrolling.

"Furthermore, the four perpetrators along with the evidence were brought to the Polsek for further investigation," he said.

From the arrests, evidence was confiscated two sickle blades with wooden handles, a Suzuki motorcycle with the number B 3307 CSV and a white Beat automatic motorcycle with the number B 3725 PAT.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations AKP Sam Suharto said the four perpetrators were known to be looking for opponents. But yet to get an opponent, the four managed to be arrested.

"Currently, further investigation is being carried out on the perpetrators. The four of them are currently at the Kemayoran Police. The case is still being investigated," he said, Monday, January 31.
