Distribution Of Parking Bags And Bus Toilets During New Year's Celebration In The HI Roundabout Area

JAKARTA - New year celebrations in public spaces do not only require an entertainment arena such as a stage alone. There needs to be supporting facilities such as parking bags and public toilets.

For residents who want to celebrate the New Year 2020 at the HI Roundabout and its surroundings, the DKI Provincial Government provides a number of parking pockets with locations around Jalan MH Thamrin to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

"We have prepared 37 parking locations for residents who wish to celebrate the new year at the HI Roundabout," said Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Syafrin Liputo when confirmed, Tuesday, December 31.

The parking pockets are located in the area of office buildings and a number of roads, namely IRTI Monas, Plaza Indonesia, Wisma Nusantara and Hotel Pullman, Wisma Antara, Jakarta Theater and Gedung Jaya.

Then, there are parking pockets in the MidPlaza Building Complex, Plaza Permata, Wisma Mandiri, Plaza BII, Sudirman Tower, Artaloka Building, Wisma BNI 46, BDN Tower, Multimedia Tower, and Points Cafe.

Then, parking bags are also available at Sapta Pesona Building, Indosat Building, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Wisma 46, The City Tower, Grand Indonesia, UOB Plaza, The Landmark, Graha Mandiri, Gajah Mada Plaza, Duta Marline Plaza.

Furthermore, parking bags are provided at Gambir Station, Sarinah Building, National Defense Institute, National Library, Ministry of Trade, UNIKA Atma Jaya, Senayan East Parking, Ministry of RB, along Jalan Kebun Kacan and along Jalan Imam Bonjol.

The DKI Provincial Government also provides 21 public toilets in the form of buses which are scattered in several regions. The placement of each of the 2 toilet buses in the New Year's Eve activities were at City Hall, West Cross of Monas, in front of the Plaza Indonesia Bus Stop, Jalan Kebon Kacang Raya, and Jalan Imam Bonjol.

In addition, there is each toilet bus unit in front of the Djakarta Theater, next to the Election Supervisory Agency, behind the PLN Power Bank, HI Roundabout Police Post, in front of Kempinski, Jalan Teluk Betung, Jalan Pamekasan, Next to the UOB Building, Kolong Kendal, KOMIDA Monas , and Jalan Baturaja, UOB Building.

This year, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is holding several events from evening to night along Jalan Sudirman, MH Thamrin, and Medan Merdeka Selatan.

There are entertainment stages in 5 locations, namely the Jakarta City Hall Courtyard, the Southwest Gate of Monas, Jalan Wahid Hasyim (in front of Gedung Jaya), the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area, and the Dukuh Atas Cultural Spot.

The main entertainment stage is at the Hotel Indonesia roundabout. The DKI Provincial Government presents a number of top artists, one of which is Rhoma Irama. Residents can gather at the HI Roundabout from 19.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB.

Then, there were West Bank Music and East Bank Music performances at 4 (four) locations, namely the Kendal Tunnel, the UOB Tower Bus Stop, the sidewalk around Bawaslu RI, the Sarinah Front sidewalk. West Bank Music and East Bank Music performances can be watched from 16.00-22.00 WIB.

Not only that, the DKI Provincial Government also held a mass wedding ceremony to help Jakarta residents who are unable to hold private weddings.

If the previous year the Mass Marriage event was held at the Thamrin 10 Parking Lot, this year the event was held at the DKI City Hall yard. The Mass Marriage event was opened with performances by Marawis, Acoustic Band, and Rebana Hadroh at 17.00 WIB.

Traffic engineering

Since all New Year's Eve entertainment activities are held along the highway, the DKI Transportation Agency will periodically close the road. The closing was for the preparation of the event, rehearsal, until the event took place.

In preparation for the event or loading goods on December 24-31, traffic control is carried out at 00.00-05.00 WIB.

Then, for the rehearsal on December 30, 2019, tentative traffic arrangements were made at 14.00-23.00 WIB around the HI Roundabout.

"This engineering is carried out so that traffic activities and mobilization of Jakarta residents will not be disturbed," said Head of Control and Operations for the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Edi Su Benefits.

Then, at the event December 31, 2019, several roads were closed. Road Closure. Medan Merdeka Selatan starts at 16.00-23.00 WIB to support the Mass Marriage at the Jakarta City Hall Building. For mass marriage participant vehicles, the Southeast entrance to Monas (near Gambir) will be directed.

At 14.00 WIB, the closure of Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Jend. Sudirman is meant to condition as well as sterilize the location of the event from motorized vehicles for further preparations for the event (taking into account the situation in the field);

December 31, 17.00 WIB until January 1, 2020 at 01.00 WIB, road closure from north to south and vice versa starting from Harmoni Junction to Senayan Roundabout as a whole;

December 31, 20.00 WIB until January 1, 2020 at 01.00 WIB, vehicle movements from east to west and west to east at the intersection of Budi Kemerdekaan road - Medan Merdeka Selatan road, Kebon Sirih road intersection - MH Thamrin road, Wahid Hasyim road intersection - Jalan MH Thamrin, and the HI Roundabout are completely closed.

Then, there were road closures that were carried out at a number of points, namely:

Then, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency has also prepared a traffic diversion. First, diversion of traffic from north-south.
