Confession Of A Former Prison-like Occupant Of A Cage At Langkat Regent's House: Rejects Allegations Of Torture, Eats 3 Times A Day

MEDAN - Police are still investigating a prison-like cage building in the private house of the inactive Langkat Regent, the Warrant Angin Plan is published.

Regarding the news circulating, a former occupant of the prison-like building named Jefri Sembiring (27) gave his confession.

This resident of Namo Ukur, Sei Bingai Subdistrict, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra admitted to being a resident in a prison-like building at the Regent's house.

Jefri said that he could become a resident of the 'prison' in the private house of the Terbit Regent with his family escorted because he was a drug addict.

While there, Jefri admitted that he had never been tortured. He dismissed accusations that the place was often used as a torture ring.

He said he had never seen any other occupants being tortured.

"No one was (tortured). (Others) As far as I know, I have never (seen being tortured)," said Jefri from the video footage received, Wednesday, January 26.

During his time as a resident of the prison-like building, Jefri had a normal routine of activities.

"The activities there are private, washing clothes, cleaning the place. That's the daily routine, worship, exercise," he explained.

While there, Jefri admitted that he had never been ordered to go to the fields as was widely suspected. In the prison-like building, there are 14 people who are residents.

"I've never been (to the fields). We have 1 room with 14 people, all addicts (drugs)," he said.

In addition, while being a prisoner, Jefri admitted that he got to eat 3 times a day.

"If I eat 3 times a day, I live more regularly. I feel healthy and fatter," he explained.
