MATARAM - The Tourism Office (Dispar) of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province has provided 4,730 hotel rooms for MotoGP spectators and tourists, which is scheduled to take place on March 20, 2022.

"To welcome MotoGP spectators and tourists, we have provided around 4,730 hotel rooms in Mataram," said Head of Mataram City Dispar Nizar Denny Cahyadi in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, January 26.

Denny added that as many as 4,730 hotel rooms were prepared in the form of rooms not beds. This means that the capacity for MotoGP spectators and tourists can be more than the availability of these rooms, because one room has two beds.

"On average, star hotels are fully booked by MotoGP spectators. While there are still budget hotels that are not yet full, but many potential guests have asked questions," he said.

In this regard, to assist the marketing of jasmine hotels, he said, the West Nusa Tenggara Province Dispar would assist, including a team from the Hospitality of Indonesia Network (HIN).

"Regarding hotel rates, there is indeed an increase from the regular price, but I still ask for data from business actors," he said.

However, his party hopes that hotel business actors do not raise prices too high, and the provincial government immediately issues regulations regarding the maximum price limit for districts/cities.

"Thus, hotel actors do not arbitrarily or arbitrarily set hotel rates," he said.

In addition, the Mataram City Disparate was also asked to help with data collection on residents' homes that could be used as alternative lodging places for MotoGP guests to help provide room needs for around 70,000 spectators.

"So far, we have only received around 142 rooms or houses for residents that meet the HIN criteria and are willing to be rented out to be alternative accommodations for MotoGP guests," he said.
