56 People Secured From Gay Sex Party In Kuningan Suite, 9 People Become Suspects

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya kicked off a gay party at the Kuningan Suite Apartment, South Jakarta. Police arrested 56 people involved in a gay party.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus said, of the 56 people who were arrested, 9 were made suspects, while the remaining 47 people were made as witnesses and not detained. The nine suspects are the organizers of the activity.

"The 9 suspects were the direct organizers. 47 witnesses were not detained. Nine people had different roles in organizing obscene or pornographic events. They held a same-sex sex party in one place," said Yusri at a press conference, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 2.

Yusri explained that the 9 gay party organizers had their respective duties. Among these are TRF people who rent rooms and receive payments from participants; BA is in charge of preparing consumption; NA is in charge of maintaining security and checking that participants are not allowed to carry firearms and drugs.

"KG is the guardian of the participant's goods, SP for registration, NM, RP, and HW in charge of picking up participants in the lobby, and A in the consumption section," he said.

Yusri said that the 9 people were charged under Article 296 of the Criminal Procedure Code and or 33 in conjunction with Article 7 of Law 44 of 2008 with a threat of 10 years to 15 years.

Yusri said the participants who took part in the party were required to wear clothes according to the specified theme.

"Each participant is required to use a dress code with a red and white mask," said Yusri.

The use of red and white masks, said Yusri, was because at the sex party the organizers carried the theme of independence. Moreover, the use of the drees code is also so that the sex party is not known by outsiders.

"In the invitation, the name is a youth gathering to celebrate independence," said Yusri.

The sex party was held at the Kuningan Suite Apartment room 608, 6th floor, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on August 28.

The disclosure of cases of private gay parties was carried out undercover. Police officers entered the place. As a result, the officers found dozens of naked men partying.
