Singaporean Tourists To Lagoi Bintan Must Have Health Insurance

BINTAN - Head of the Tanjungpinang Port Health Office (KKP) Agus Jamaludin said Singaporean tourists who enter Lagoi, Bintan, Riau Islands, must have health insurance worth 30,000 Singapore dollars or around Rp. 300 million.

"Health insurance is very necessary to anticipate risk factors," said Agus Jamaludin in Tanjungpinang, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 26.

In addition, foreign tourists with the travel bubble concept must have been vaccinated twice when they arrive in Lagoi.

Then at the entrance to the international port of BBT Lagoi, he said, foreign tourists will be PCR in a PCR booth provided by the management of Bintan Resort Cakrawala (BRC), as the manager of the Lagoi tourism area.

"Tourists can wait for the test results to come out at the hotel," he said.

According to Agus, foreign tourists in Lagoi are also provided with a blue pass to make tracing, tracking, and treatment easier if COVID-19 is confirmed.

All tourist spots in Lagoi are also required to apply the Scan QR-Code of the Cares for Protecting Application.

"The travel bubble health procedure is very strict to anticipate the spread of COVID-19," he said.

Agus said that for the initial stage of the travel bubble, foreign tourists entering Lagoi were limited to only 500 people per day and distributed to all resorts operating in the area.

"Each resort, its capacity is limited to only 50 percent," he said.

It has also tightened health protocols for employees at Lagoi, where they will work alternately every two weeks.

"When they return to work, employees will be tested for antigen swab or PCR," he added.

Agus ensured that his party with 20 Tanjungpinang KKP personnel were ready to oversee the implementation of the travel bubble, especially in Bintan, which officially opened on January 24, 2022.

Based on a report from the Riau Islands Provincial Tourism Office as of Wednesday, January 26, no foreign tourists have come to Bintan or Batam.
