Sulistyawati's 12 Hours Helpless Locked Up By Brothers In Ciledug, The Trigger Was 10 Days Late Paying Rp1 Million Debt

JAKARTA - The police have named two people as suspects in the case of arresting Sulistyawati (45) in Ciledug, Tangerang City.

The reckless actions of the two perpetrators FT (26) and SF (40) were apparently triggered by a debt problem that the victim failed to pay.

"The method used by the two suspects is that they hold the victim into a room and lock her up for approximately 12 hours," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, January 25.

Zulpan said the victim could not keep his promise to pay off a debt of Rp. 1 million within 10 days.

"This victim borrowed money from the suspect in the amount of Rp. 1 million. Then in the agreement for the next 10 days, the money will be returned with a nominal increase of Rp. 1 million, 300 thousand," said Zulpan.

"But the fact is that after 10 days according to this agreement the victim cannot return the money," he continued.

For this reason, the two suspects, who are brothers, took the victim into custody. In this case, the two suspects are threatened with article 333 of the Criminal Code concerning depriving other people of their freedom with a sentence of six years in prison.

Meanwhile, Sulistyawati (45) became a victim of imprisonment and threats due to debt problems in the Ciledug Indah II area, Karang Tengah, Tangerang City, on January 7. The perpetrators had the initials FT (26) and SF (40), who were brothers.
