Swing A Sickle To Challenge Other Groups To A Duel, Youth In Cirebon Become Monthly Receiving 100 Stitches

CIREBON - The Cirebon City Police have arrested six brawlers who slashed their victims and injured several parts of their bodies. The victim had to receive more than 100 stitches due to the perpetrator's brutal actions.

"The victim received more than 100 stitches because the wound was quite severe," said Cirebon City Police Chief AKBP Fahri Siregar in Cirebon, Antara, Tuesday, January 25.

During the investigation, the police found a heated duel between the victim and the perpetrator using social media (medsos). The victim challenges the perpetrator to meet through social media. The tit for tat, the invitation was accepted until finally there was a beating.

This is not the first time the victim has invited the perpetrator to a duel. According to Fahri, the six perpetrators who were arrested by M, H, U, S, A and HA, were often challenged by the victim with the initials SU.

"The incident occurred on Sunday, January 23, yesterday at around 02.00 WIB in the morning in one of the places in Cirebon," he added.

After meeting at the agreed place, the victim's group ran away and was chased by the suspects. Fahri added that at the time of the incident, the victim SU actually got off the motorbike while swinging a sickle at the suspect.

The sickle swing was deflected and a fight broke out. "The victim lost, so the perpetrators immediately attacked him," he said.
