The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The Police Take Over Handling All Reports Of Edy Mulyadi Who Called Kalimantan The Place Of Jin Throwing Children

JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) has taken over the handling of all reports of alleged hate speech cases with reported Edy Mulyadi. Edy Mulyadi said that East Kalimantan, which is the nation's capital city (IKN), is a place for genies to throw away their children.

"The handling was withdrawn by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Tuesday, January 25.

In general, Ramadhan continued, the National Police received three police reports (LP) related to the alleged hate speech. Two of them were received by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police and one at the Polda of East Kalimantan.

Then, there were also 16 complaints and 18 statements following Edy Mulyadi's statement. All of them were accepted by the Bareskrim and Polda ranks, namely Polda North Sulawesi and West Kalimantan.

With so many reports up to the statement of position, it was decided that the handling would be concentrated in the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"There are three police reports, 16 complaints and 18 statements of attitude were withdrawn at the Bareskrim and handled by the Bareskrim Polri," said Ramadhan.

Ramadhan emphasized that the handling process for the reported Edy Muyaldi would be in accordance with the rules. In the near future, the police will examine witnesses.

"If the Bareksrim process is carried out, we will call the reporting witnesses, we will collect sufficient initial evidence, of course the process will follow the rules," said Ramadhan.

Edy Mulyadi got the spotlight because of his statement. He said that East Kalimantan, which is the state capital (IKN), is a place for genies to dispose of children.

One of Edy Mulyadi's quotes that allegedly insulted East Kalimantan at his press conference read: "This is an elite place, owns a very expensive price, has its own building, then sold it, moved to a place where the genie disposed of children (new IKN)."
