GIANYAR - I Nengah Wanta (36), a resident of Gianyar, Bali, stabbed his wife Kadek Setyawati and then stabbed Jupriyadi, suspected of having an affair with his wife. Jupriyadi died from a stab wound.

This bloody incident occurred in the Candra Ayu housing estate, Batubulan Village, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali. The perpetrator has been arrested by the police.

"Currently, the perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Sukawati Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further investigation," said Sukawati Police Chief Kompol I Made Ariawan, Tuesday, January 25.

The incident started on Monday, January 24th. The perpetrator came to his wife's pulse shop in Sukawati, Gianyar. At that time, the perpetrator had called Jupriyadi who was also selling near his wife's pulse shop.

According to the police, the perpetrator asked Jupriyadi to talk. The police said that the perpetrator had a grudge because he suspected that Jupriyadi was having an affair with the perpetrator's wife.

After a while, the assailant returned home to retrieve a sickle and knife. The perpetrator returned to his wife's credit shop and immediately grabbed Jupriyadi

"You are cheating on me (with) my wife," shouted the perpetrator as he grabbed Jupriyadi with a sharp weapon, as imitated by the police.

"Due to the stab, the victim ran to save himself in the direction of the rice fields in the south with the sickle still stuck in the victim's back," said Ariawan.

The victim who suffered a stab wound was later declared dead at the Ganesha Celuk Hospital.

After slashing Jupriyadi, the perpetrator rebuked his wife. According to the police, the perpetrator asked about his wife's affair with Jupriyadi.

At that time, the perpetrator took a knife that was kept in his pants and then stabbed it repeatedly into his wife.

According to residents' reports, the police came to the location and arrested the perpetrators. The suspect's wife was taken to the hospital.

"The perpetrator abused the victim Jupriyadi which resulted in the victim's death and the victim (the perpetrator's wife) because she felt hurt towards the victim Jupriyadi who was suspected of having an affair with the perpetrator's wife. This was known through recorded conversations between the perpetrator's wife and the victim Jupriyadi," he said. .
