SERANG - Banten Police have again installed Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) cameras in 3 locations to discipline the public in obeying traffic regulations.

"From the number of tickets that have been sent, 355 violators have confirmed receiving a ticket, 201 offline and 154 online, and the violators have paid the fines included in the electronic ticket," said Budi Mulyanto on Monday (24/01). .

In January 2022, the Banten Police submitted a request to block 806 vehicle documents that violated the ETLE camera evidence.

"The types of violations recorded from the ETLE camera are 1,567 violations of the use of seat belts, 163 violations of not wearing helmets, 127 violations related to road markings, 82 violations of transporting people in pickup trucks, 29 violations of using cellphones while driving, 28 violations of vehicles with incomplete components. safety, as well as 6 overloading violations," said Budi Mulyanto.

Meanwhile, the Banten Police Public Relations Head Kombes Pol Shinto Silitonga added that of the 2 ETLE cameras currently installed, the most violations occurred at the check point cameras located on Jalan Veteran - Jalan Pantura as many as 1,577 violations and 425 violations that were recorded by the ETLE camera in traffic. light Jalan Banana.

"Based on the job classification of the violators, it is known that 1,138 violators work in the private sector, 335 students and university students, 290 drivers of public transportation, 159 work as civil servants, and 45 others work as employees of BUMN," said Shinto Silitonga.

Shinto also said, in accordance with the proposal from the Banten Police Ditlantas, in January 2022, ETLE cameras would be installed in 3 other locations, namely at the JPO Front Mall of Serang, in front of the Ciruas Police Station, Jalan Raya Jakarta - Serang, and at the Kebon Jahe traffic light. from Pandeglang to Serang.
