NTT Provincial Government Gives One Week, Traders In Traditional Markets Must Sell Cooking Oil Rp14,000

NTT - The Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has given every trader in traditional markets a week to adjust and provide cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter.

"This applies to all traditional market areas not only in Kupang City but throughout NTT," said Head of the Trade and Development Section of the NTT Trade Office Vivi Manafe in Kupang, Antara, Monday, January 24.

This was conveyed by Vivi related to the application of one price cooking oil in all areas of NTT which became the central government's program in the next six months.

Currently selling cooking oil by implementing a government program that is one price is only applied by a number of modern markets. While traditional markets have not implemented it.

"The request for price adjustment in traditional markets is in accordance with the direction of the Director General of Basic Goods and Important Goods of the Ministry of Trade," he said.

Furthermore, he said, to be able to adjust prices in traditional markets, traders are asked to immediately communicate with suppliers of the availability of subsidized cooking oil.

He said that the price of cooking oil at one price received appreciation from a number of people in Kupang City. They also hope that as soon as possible the application of subsidized cooking oil can be applied in traditional markets.

"As the general public, housewives, of course, I really hope that this one-price cooking oil will not only be applied to modern markets, such as Hypemart, Transmart and Alfamart in Kupang City, but also in traditional markets as well," said Ira Tamonob.

The reason is simple, because most people in Kupang City prefer to shop at traditional markets.

Previously, on January 19, the government officially implemented one-price cooking oil at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter, which applies to all of Indonesia. This has received a positive response from a number of people not only in Kupang City but also throughout Indonesia.
