RIAU - Riau Governor Syamsuar ensured that large companies in Riau helped pay BPJS Employment premiums for 1,500 assisting teachers in order to benefit from the Work Accident Insurance Program (JKK), Old Age Security (JHT), Pension Security and Death Insurance (JKM).
"Companies in this area are ready to help and currently they only need to register the assistant teachers who will be registered as BPJS Employment participants," Syamsuar said in his statement to reporters in Pekanbaru, Antara, Sunday, January 23.
He said the company's assistance to assisting teachers would be budgeted for in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
As for the data collection on the number of assistant teachers who must be included in the Employment BPJS, it has been discussed with the Riau Education Office and only 1,500 people have been recorded. Likewise, the Riau Ministry of Religion will provide complete data on existing assistant teachers.
"Because the data is a condition for making BPJS Employment, and now it is being re-recorded, it is hoped that it will be completed soon so that they can be registered as participants," he said.
The head of the Riau Education Office, Dr Kamsol said, the Riau Education Office is now intensifying data collection on the Riau Provincial Government's assistant teachers and completing it with their Personnel Identification Number (NIK), so that teachers can register through the Riau Education Office team in the field.
"This re-data collection of assistant teachers was carried out because previously these assistant teachers were not equipped with NIK data. For this reason, further data collection is needed according to the requirements for submission to BPJS Employment management," said Kamsol.
In an effort to accelerate this data collection, said Kamsol again, the Riau Education Office has also implemented online registration of assistant teachers.
"This policy is related according to applicable regulations, any organization or company that has employees has the obligation to register their employees in several programs, one of which is BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. And companies are also required to pay these contributions every month," he said.
