JAKARTA - The Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) introduced a new logo. The appearance of this logo also replaces the old logo that has been used since 2005 when the position of Minister of Defense was occupied by Juwono Sudarsono.
Spokesman for Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, said that the logo change had been announced since Thursday, January 20, during the Leadership Meeting at the Ministry of Defense.
"The Indonesian Minister of Defense has officially announced the change in logo," said Dahnil in a written statement, Friday, January 21.
From the image circulating, the logo officially used by the Ministry of Defense is round with a gold circle and has a dark red base color. In the logo there is also an image of Garuda Pancasila circled by a gold chain.
"(The new logo, red) symbolizes a strong and resilient national defense in order to maintain the integrity and sovereignty of the nation and protect all of Indonesia's bloodshed which is based on national unity and integrity based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution to maintain the glory of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia," he said.
The Ministry of Defense's new logo has also been published by Deputy Minister of Defense Herindra on his official Instagram account @herindra87. Through the Instagram Story feature, he uploaded the new logo and compared it with the old logo.
